Stepping out of your comfort zone to be more equitable and inclusive requires risk which is uncomfortable. Transforming the comfort zone requires a proactive confrontation, naming it, identifying the cost, and turning it around. Without a compelling reason, we will not willingly leave our comfort zones. This session walks you through a tool to support courageous conversations about comfort zones and how they are serving you and/or your team to be equitable and inclusive. Bio: Erin is the Vice President of Human Resources and Leadership Development at the YMCA of Central New York. She focuses on staff development that results in confident cause-driven leaders and is committed to strengthening the mission and vision of the YMCA. Erin's mission is to help others find personal joy through opportunities that help them see their potential and guide them to be their best self. Erin has a B.A. in Youth Development and M.Ed. in Recreation Management from Springfield College. She holds her Organizational Leader Certification from YMCA of the USA, as well as trainings from The Center for Creative Leadership, and The Bigger Game Company.
