![]() Multicultural Competence by Dr. Cedric Williams Dr. Cedric Williams shared his expertise as a consulting psychologist who integrates psychological principles and leader development models to help individuals, teams, and organizations move toward occupational thriving. He teaches courses on multicultural competence, assessment for clinician-consultants, private practice development, and clinical dissertations. He has published on various topics including racial microaggressions, multicultural competence, performance, and resilience. Dr. Williams currently works with several non-profit organizations, government agencies, and private firms to provide learning and education on multicultural competence, recognition and response to racial microaggressions in the work environment, implicit bias, and effective allyship. Dr. Williams holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Graduate School of Psychology, three master’s degrees, and a B.S. from Illinois State University. Dr. Williams has also served on the executive board of the American Psychological Association's Division 13, Society of Consulting Psychology as the Diversity and Inclusion chairperson. In addition to his work as a psychologist, Dr. Williams has served in the US Army (active and now reserves) since 2002. He is an Airborne and Ranger qualified Infantry officer who has led soldiers in a variety of settings.
